All activities will be age-appropriate, with older students doing more script-writing and intricate artistry. We will have a short performance on May 21st at our annual “Art Field Day”.

Fees:

There is a supply fee of $15/semester per student. The fees are as follows and are due at the beginning of each 5 week period. There are three  5-week segments each semester.  There is a 5% discount for paying all 3 segments upfront. There is a family cap of $100 (great for 4+ kids!).

1-1/2 hour class:               $40 every 5 weeks

1 hour class:                       $30 every 5 weeks

We offer activities at all 3 hours to our students only (not siblings). To offset facility rental & supply costs, we ask that children staying for more than their class time pay an additional $1/child per hour. This may be added into your tuition. We don’t offer babysitting, but for older students who don’t require supervision, we do have a variety of crafts and art activities available. This is a great time to socialize and have fun with pals!

Outreach Ministry:

Potter’s Clay was established in 2004 as a way to bring art into the community because I believe art that glorifies God is beneficial to both children and adults. Studies show just three hours of art each week in visual, musical, or theatrical arts increases intelligence. With that said, I do not want turn anyone away from taking art classes because of financial reasons. Please call me to work-out the fee through volunteer help or bartering for services you may offer.

I will be taking students out into the community to nursing homes and assisted care facilities. Older students will be teaching basic art skills to the elderly, and younger students will be doing the projects with the elderly.  This will only be open to SCCHE Potter’s Clay cluster members who have students enrolled in Friday art. My prayer is that there will be enough students to rotate this on a monthly basis, establishing relationships with our elderly in the community.
